Weekdays: A Perfect Balance of Structure and Fun
Mornings: Rise and Shine!
At 6:30 AM, the school comes alive as students wake up and prepare for an exciting day ahead. After a hearty breakfast at 7:15 AM, it’s time to grab your bag and head to school!
The day begins with Tokkatsu, a unique Japanese approach to education that builds character, teamwork, and leadership. Then, it’s straight into stimulating lessons, designed to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving. Our Cambridge curriculum ensures that learning is engaging, interactive, and relevant to the real world.
Afternoons: Learning, Naps & Activities
After a delicious lunch at 12:30 PM, students have the option to take a short nap to recharge before returning to class. This power nap helps refresh the mind and boost energy levels, ensuring students stay focused for the afternoon lessons!
From 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, lessons continue, covering a variety of subjects in a dynamic and interactive way. But that’s not all—afternoons at KBH are packed with engaging activities:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: Extra academic support with the Learning Support Programme (LSP)
Tuesday: Extracurricular Activities (ECA)—try your hand at music, art, coding, or something completely new!
Thursday: Coaching & Revision—receive personalised guidance to help master subjects.
Every day: Games & sports, where teamwork and friendly competition make the day even more exciting.
By 4:30 PM, students have personal time to unwind, relax, or get lost in a book.
Evenings: Unwind & Recharge
As the sun sets, dinner at 6:00 PM brings everyone together for good food and great company. After that, students enjoy free time before getting back to business at 7:00 PM with Supervised Study Time (SST). This is when students focus, reflect, and refine their knowledge with the support of experienced teachers.
By 9:00 PM, it’s time to wind down, relax, and get ready for a good night’s rest at 10:00 PM, recharging for another exciting day at KBH!
Weekends: A Time to Explore & Recharge
Option to Go Home on Weekends!
Here’s something unique about KBH—students can go home on weekends with permission from their parents or legal guardians! Whether you want to spend quality time with family or just take a short break, you’re free to leave after class on Friday. Just make sure to return by Sunday afternoon, before our 7:30 PM Supervised Study Time!
For Those Staying On Campus: Fun-Filled Saturdays!
Staying at school? No problem—Saturdays at KBH are packed with fun!
8:30 AM: Hobby time! Pick up a brush for calligraphy (書道), experience the serenity of chado (茶道 - Japanese tea ceremony), get creative with digital art, or sharpen your coding skills.
11:00 AM: Let’s Get Moving! Whether you’re into Aikido, Kyudo (Japanese archery), football, basketball, or just running around in the fresh air, this is your time to get active!
2:30 PM: Team Adventures! Join an outing to explore Japanese culture—try your hand at Shiraiwa pottery, take a nature walk, or team up for a fun challenge.
7:30 PM: Movie & Analysis Night—watch a blockbuster, then engage in deep discussions about the film’s themes and storytelling.
By 10:00 PM, lights go out, but the memories of the day last forever!
Sunday: The Calm Before the Week Begins
Sunday is all about recharging and getting ready for the new week. For students on campus:
8:30 AM: Chill & Recharge – Sleep in a little, enjoy some personal time to read, relax, or chat with friends.
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Explore Like a Local!
Younger students (13 and under): Head out with our staff for a fun trip to town—think shopping, sightseeing, and discovering cool local spots!
Older students: Enjoy more freedom to explore independently while following school guidelines. Whether it’s checking out a trendy café, visiting a bookstore, or grabbing a snack, the day is yours!
4:30 PM: Hobby Round 2! Didn’t get enough of pottery, tea ceremonies, or calligraphy? Now’s your chance to go deeper into your passions
7:00 PM: Supervised Study Time (SST)—a quiet moment to review, reflect, and prepare for the week ahead.
10:00 PM: Lights out, ready to tackle Monday with energy and confidence!
