Job Summary:
KBH Japan is seeking passionate and dedicated teachers to join our pioneering international school in Semboku City. We are recruiting for various subject areas, including English, Mathematics, Science, Japanese, Computing, and Physical Education & Arts. Ideal candidates must be fluent in English, have at least three years of teaching experience in an international school environment and the relevant qualifications, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to students’ academic progress and well-being. 

Specifically, for the English, Mathematics, and Science roles, candidates should have a minimum of three years’ experience teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery:

    • Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to your subject area.

    • For English, Mathematics, and Science teachers, implement the Cambridge International Curriculum effectively.

  • Student-Centric Approach:

    • Foster a caring and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic excellence and holistic development.

  • Assessment & Feedback:

    • Develop and administer formative and summative assessments.

    • Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student learning.

  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with colleagues to create integrated and cross-curricular learning experiences.

    • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.

  • Professional Development:

    • Engage in ongoing professional learning opportunities and workshops.

  • Community Engagement:

    • Actively participate in school events and collaborate with parents/guardians to support student growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area with a recognized teaching certification.

  • Minimum of three years of teaching experience in an international school setting.

  • For English, Mathematics, and Science roles: Minimum of three years of experience teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum.

  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Japanese is highly desirable.

  • A demonstrated passion for education and a genuine care for the academic and personal well-being of students.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Must be willing to work in Semboku City, Akita, and be prepared to relocate if necessary.

  • Possession of a valid work visa for Japan is preferred, but not a must.
